How are you doing with this new normal? I, like many of you have had more time to think and contemplate life lately. I have never NOT worked. I'm a person who thrives and is energized when busy so it's been a challenging, and lazy last few months. What a strange and unsettling time we are living through! During my 'at home' time I decided to create a new website for Light and Vision and bring Vessey Studio portraits back to streamline my business. It was a good idea to try separating the Portrait from the Commercial, but ultimately has proven to be a lot of work maintaining two identities!
So here is where you can find me and book me for your personal or business photography needs!
In other news, today marks the end of three years as the National Chair of the Professional Photographers of Canada. I was supposed to have been in Saskatoon, Sask celebrating with my fellow photographers mid April but alas, it was not meant to be. I've been on the Regional Atlantic Board for 16 years and the National Board for 6. I've learned a lot through being in this position and I'm very proud to have served and supported our industry association! Today we had a short transition meeting and the Board totally surprised me with this piece they had commissioned as my departure gift. Due to the fact I dislike the term 'CHAIR' as my title I would make up different titles for every newsletter. One that stuck after going to see a Star Wars movie was 'Supreme Leader' as a joke. So between that and my Cat Lady reputation this is the result! I absolutely love it and can't wait to have the printed version on display to remember this era!
I'm happy to have more time to dedicate to my business now! Which means an intention to blog regularly!
